I'm not sure when you posted your question, but I had to answer it. I understand the frustration! I moved to Portland from the D.C. area, where we have fabulous hair dressers and when I came here I was shocked to find a lack of, especially for black hair. I'm Puerto Rican and my husband is black and my son is mixed. They both have long hair as well. I tried many places and after two years here, I finally found ONE that compares to my hair dresser in DC. He is great and has a passion for healthy hair. I've seen his clients including his sister, who has gorgeous, healthy, strong hair down her back! He has his own line of hair care products as well and his prices are very reasonable.
