I have long, permed hair and I am from NY so I am used to getting my hair done by dominicans in New Jersey. I noticed that alot of stylists down here in Alabama like to grease scalps and put in weaves and do not really know how to care for and maintain permed hair properly. I'm wondering if anyone knows a great salon or stylist that really knows how to care for long, permed hair. I basically just want to keep my hair healthy and also want someone who isn't scissor happy either..lol. I know that this may be alot of info but I'm tired of driving to atlanta just to get my hair done!! Any and all info would be greatly appreciated..Thanks!!HELP!!! Definitely try the Santa Fe Day spa in Hoover. I'd been looking for a good hair salon for years. It's really difficult to weed through the people who use outdated techniques and really don't give a flip about the health of your hair. I also have ethnic (black) relaxed hair, and they do a wonderful job. It's a bit more expensive than the little kitchen sink pseudo-salons, but it's well worth the money. I've been going there for two years and my hair is the longest it's ever been in my life. Check out their website. Good luck!HELP!!!
