I'm new to Chicago and need recommendations for good, reasonable Black Hair Stylists/Salons. Also how much should I expect to pay for a relaxer? shampoo? Any help would be appreciated. I would like to try out a few places for a shampoo before I need another relaxer in 3-4 weeks.Can you help me find a Black Hair Salon?

There are so many black hair salon in Chg. you need to indicate what side of town you are on (eg; northside, southside, westside) but the normal price for for a relaxer
might start at $50.00 and up, and a basis wash %26amp; set might start at $40.00 and up. It really depends on what side of town that you are willing to travel. I think a good hair stylist would have there price list posted in the shop with all the extra that included in a hair style. So can you be more specific about what side on town you are wiliing to travel.The one I patronize is on the southside of Chg. 'Lines %26amp; Angles'- 1242 E.79th St. (773)721-8700 and the hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6:30 walk-in are welcome but it is best to make an appointment and you aren't in the shop all day, this is a strictly business establishment. All along 79th St. are beauty salons ( east %26amp; west). Ask for Talisah if you go there and she can do hair.
go to Cicero. you will find one there. just make sure you bring back up.
PHD. professional Hair designers. They do a great job. It's located in Bellwood prob like 15min drive from the west side it ranges 30-50dollars. You definitely need an appointment.
